Registration and Payment
A deposit of 25% of the Thalassa Tours package rate confirms your reservation. Payment must reach our account within a week after the reservation. Your deposit is fully refundable up to 65 days before the tour date.
Only a €25.- (per person) will be charged for administrative costs when cancelled after the deposit payment is made. The balance of your invoice is due 65 days prior to the tour date. If you make your reservation after the final payment date, payment in full will be required upon reservation.
Tour prices quoted are guaranteed, and include accommodations based on a person in double occupancy, motor coach transportation, meals, sightseeing and transfers as described; hotel taxes; entrance fees for included sightseeing; the services of a Thalassa Tours tour director; luggage handling for one bag per person and all gratuities as described below.
We welcome single travelers and offer a limited number of single accommodations on each tour. Because hotel rates are priced by the room, the cost for accommodations occupied by one person is higher than that shared by two people, but we will do everything possible to keep single supplements at a reasonable cost. Please note that single rooms in many Turkish hotels may be smaller than those to which you are accustomed.
Triple Room Discounts / Children
Triple room accommodations are available on a limited basis at a reduced price of 10% off the program fee for the third person. Triple rooms usually consist of a twin-bedded room with an additional cot or folding bed for the third person. Triple rooms may not be comfortable for three adults.
Tour prices include gratuities for dining room servers, airport and hotel porters on base tours and on optional extensions when accompanied by an Thalassa Tours representative.
Gratuities are not included on "on your own optional extensions. Please note that gratuities for the Thalassa Tours Director and the driver are not included. These tips are optional and should be extended on a voluntary basis.
Not Included in Your Tour Price
Airfare to Turkey, costs of passports and visas, personal expenses such as beverages, laundry, room service and meals not specified, excess baggage fees, communication charges, airport, port, and departure taxes, airport transfers when purchasing a land-only package, gratuities to your Thalassa Tours Director which is at your discretion, optional sightseeing or shore excursions, and travel protection. We strongly recommend that you protect yourself and your investment in case you have to cancel or interrupt your vacation. Please see our Travel Protection Plan described in the General Terms and Conditions.
After reserving your tour, you will receive pre-departure information that includes a detailed itinerary, map and similar documents, visa requirements, and reading list etc. two to three weeks before departure.
Refunds & Cancellation
You will receive a full refund for any cancellations made up to 65 days before the tour date. Only a €25.- (per person) cancellation fee will apply for administrative costs.
If you must cancel your trip, the effective date of cancellation will be upon our receipt of your notification.
If you need to cancel for any reason prior to tour departure, the cancellation fees will be as follows:
>More than 65 days prior to departure: only €25.- (per person) cancellation fee will apply for administrative costs.
>65 - 46 days prior to departure: 25% of the total tour price
>45 - 31 days prior to departure: 50% of the total tour price
>30 - 16 days prior to departure: 75% of the total tour price
>15 - 00 days prior to departure: 100% of the total tour price
It is strongly advised to purchase a Travel Insurance which will cover cancellation penalties in case of illness or other unexpected reasons.
Please note that we will not refund the cost of any unused portion of your tour package. If for any reason Thalassa Tours cancels your tour, you will receive a complete refund of all payments you have made to us.
Travel Insurance/Travel Protection Plan
You are strongly recommended to obtain a comprehensive travel protection plan. This plan covers trip cancellation or interruption, medical expense / emergency assistance, lost baggage / travel documents, and trip delay.
Changes to Your Reservation
We will not charge you for any changes made to your reservation outside of 65 days before departure.
Within 65 days, if you make any changes to your tour date, or optional pre or post-tour extension, a €25.- per person administrative fee will apply, in addition to any fees or penalties imposed by third parties. Please note that changes are subject to availability and can not be guaranteed. If you change the date of your tour, and subsequently cancel, cancellation penalties will be based upon your original tour departure date. Similarly, if you change your reservation from double occupancy to single occupancy, you will be charged the single supplement.
For the convenience of the majority of our travelers, Thalassa Tours has a No Smoking policy on all tour buses. We will arrange sufficient rest stops so those who wish to smoke may do so.
Travelers Needing Special Assistance
The pace of our tours varies, but in general they require participants to be in good physical health. Thalassa Tours will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of tour participants. At the time you book your tour, please inform us of any physical disabilities or limitations you may have so that we can help you determine the appropriateness of the tour. If such limitations cause you to require more than minor support, we ask that you plan to travel with a companion who will be responsible for providing that support.
The liability of Thalassa Tours is limited. In no event will Thalassa Tours be liable for amounts in excess of the amounts payable to it in accordance with the terms here under, nor will it be liable for any consequential indirect or incidental damages arising from this agreement. Thalassa Tours purchases transportation, hotel accommodations, restaurant and other services from independent suppliers not under our control. We serve only as agents for these suppliers in securing tour arrangements, and therefore will not accept responsibility and liability for wrongful, negligent, or arbitrary acts or omissions of these independent contractors, their employees, agents, servants or representatives. Thalassa Tours is not liable for injury, damage, loss, accident or delay that may be caused by events not within our control , including without limitation, acts of terrorism, war, strikes, the defect of any vehicle, or the negligence or default of any third party. All coupons, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the air carriers, cruise lines, and other independent suppliers. The passage contract in use by third parties, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between such third party and the purchaser of the tour.
Thalassa Tours reserves the right to correct errors in program pricing. We reserve the right to cancel an advertised tour, decline to accept a reservation or remove a person from a tour if it is determined by our tour director to be in the best interests of the health, safety and general well - being of the other travelers. We will make every effort to operate our tours as planned, but we reserve the right to make itinerary changes if necessary.
If unforeseen circumstances require us to change a hotel we will select alternative accommodations of the same or better quality. The foregoing terms and conditions and all aspects of the relationship between Thalassa Tours and the customer shall be governed by the Turkish laws for TURSAB (Union of Turkish Travel Agencies ) and by the courts in Trabzon.
